[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] Asiana Airlines announced on the 25th that it will operate the 'Gimpo~Jeju International Sightseeing Flight,' where passengers can purchase duty-free goods.
This international sightseeing flight will depart from Gimpo International Airport at 12:45 PM on the 24th of next month, fly over Busan and Japanese airspace, and arrive at Jeju Airport at 2:05 PM. It operates as both an international and domestic flight, allowing passengers to enjoy a trip to Jeju and duty-free shopping.
Since it is an international flight, passengers must carry their passports. They can use Asiana Airlines' onboard duty-free shop as well as the duty-free shops at Gimpo International Airport and downtown duty-free shops. However, on-site orders at the onboard duty-free shop are not allowed; purchases must be made through advance reservations on Asiana Airlines' internet duty-free shop. When ordering in advance, all passengers receive up to 70% discount per item and discount coupons based on purchase amount (up to $50). Additionally, cosmetic gifts are provided for purchases over $400.
Asiana Airlines' September international sightseeing flight operates only one one-way route from Gimpo to Jeju, and the return flight from Jeju to Gimpo is a regular domestic flight. Tickets for this flight can only be purchased through two travel agencies, Special Tour and Harika Tour. They are sold as free travel package products consisting of hotel accommodation and rental cars, and hotel accommodation and golf tour package products, with a 20% discount coupon for hotel dinner buffets provided.
