Com2uS Acquires Management Rights of WYSIWYG Studios "Leap to Content Company"
[Asia Economy Reporter Bu Aeri] Com2uS announced on the 25th that it will acquire the management rights of media content company Wysiwyg Studios.
Com2uS will invest 160.7 billion KRW to acquire 11.27 million common shares of Wysiwyg. Having acquired 5 million shares (45 billion KRW) in March, Com2uS will secure a total of 38.11% stake through this strategic investment and become the largest shareholder of Wysiwyg, thereby acquiring management rights.
Wysiwyg is a content production company that has created various domestic and international films and dramas, including Netflix's "Space Sweepers," using world-class computer graphics (CG) and visual effects (VFX) technology. Through its prominent subsidiaries such as NP, RaemongRaein, and Merry Christmas, it is a comprehensive media content company covering everything from drama, film, animation, and web novel production to distribution and circulation.
Its subsidiary "NP" also possesses high-level virtual extended reality (XR) content production capabilities linked with the metaverse.
Through this acquisition, Com2uS plans to accelerate its growth as a global comprehensive content company by securing Wysiwyg's intellectual property (IP) and production capabilities.

Com2uS is investing in promising companies across various domestic and international fields encompassing games and cultural content. It has invested in companies such as Skybound Entertainment, the producer of the global drama "The Walking Dead," domestic story content company MStoryHub, content planning company Clever E&M, and MediaCan. Recently, it has accelerated expansion into digital content business by establishing Kenaz, the largest domestic webtoon production company, and Jungle Studio.
