Samsung Metaverse Fund Surpasses 50 Billion KRW in Assets Under Management
[Asia Economy Reporter Junho Hwang] Samsung Asset Management announced on the 23rd that the Samsung Global Metaverse Fund has surpassed 50 billion KRW in assets under management just two months after its launch.
Samsung Asset Management launched this fund on June 28. As of today, the assets under management stand at 51.05 billion KRW.
This fund invests by classifying core global companies related to the metaverse theme into a total of 10 themes, including 3 concentrated investment groups and 7 theme rotation groups.
First, it selects cloud computing, augmented reality, and virtual reality as core themes that will drive the mid- to long-term growth of the metaverse industry and invests from a long-term perspective.
Samsung Asset Management invests in 50 to 60 stocks selected by its proprietary big data analysis system, considering sentiment analysis and ESG screening among the theme-specific stocks.
