Netherlands Plans Additional Troop Deployment to Support Evacuation of Afghan Nationals
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Byung-hee] On the 22nd (local time), the Dutch Ministry of Defense announced that it will send additional troops to Afghanistan to support the evacuation of its nationals and others.
According to major foreign media, the Netherlands already has 62 special forces troops stationed at Kabul Airport in Afghanistan. The special forces are tasked with protecting Dutch embassy staff and refugees in Afghanistan and securing aircraft.
The Dutch Minister of Foreign Affairs stated on the 20th that more than 700 Dutch citizens are still waiting to be evacuated from Afghanistan.

Separately, the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on the same day that it will donate 10 million euros (approximately 13.8 billion KRW) to provide food, drinking water, and medical supplies to Afghans, according to AP News.
