The Starbucks Talent Donation Cafe is a Starbucks social contribution program that renovates cafes in local communities that need maintenance and provides barista training to employees with disabilities, seniors, marginalized youth, and women from multicultural families working at the cafes to help operate the stores and support the independence and job creation of vulnerable groups in the community. To ensure the sustainable growth of local talent donation cafes, Starbucks offers various educational programs beyond one-time donations.
Starting in Seoul in 2012, the program has gradually expanded to Busan, Daejeon, Yongin, Gwangju, Suncheon, and other areas. Currently, 10 talent donation cafes across the country are working for sustainable coexistence to promote the independence and job creation of vulnerable groups in local communities. The specialty drink will be launched at a total of nine talent donation cafes, excluding one cafe where the launch is difficult due to cafe circumstances.
Banana Cream Dark Chocolate is a specialty drink featuring the luxurious flavor of dark chocolate with cacao nibs and sweet banana cream on top. It was specially planned to support talent donation cafes struggling with cafe operations due to social distancing and to help revitalize local communities. Starbucks will provide the main raw materials necessary for beverage production.
