Chevrolet Trailblazer Named 'Best Small SUV of the Year' by US Edmunds
Developed and Produced in Korea... Leading Domestic Export in June
[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] Chevrolet announced on the 23rd that the Trailblazer was recently selected as the No. 1 compact sport utility vehicle (SUV) in the 'Best Cars of the Year' by the U.S. automotive information site Edmunds.
Edmunds analyzed and evaluated about 200 models based on criteria such as performance, safety, design, technology, fuel efficiency, and value, and selected the best vehicles by segment.
The Chevrolet Trailblazer scored 8.0 out of 10 points, ranking first in the compact SUV segment, while its sibling model, the Buick Encore GX, also received 7.9 points and ranked third. Other models following included the Mazda CX-30 (2nd), Hyundai Kona (3rd), Subaru Crosstrek (3rd), Kia Soul (6th), and Kia Seltos (8th).
Edmunds stated, "The Chevrolet Trailblazer is competitive in every aspect among vehicles in its class," adding, "It is a half step ahead in the increasingly fierce compact SUV segment."

Meanwhile, the Chevrolet Trailblazer is a model developed by GM Technical Center Korea and produced by Korea GM. In June, along with the Buick Encore GX, it exported 15,165 units, a 267% increase compared to the same month last year, achieving the No. 1 position in domestic finished car exports and playing a pivotal role in the normalization of Korea GM's management.
