Corporate Division Audition Airing on the Morning of the 29th

The Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry announced that it will broadcast the corporate division audition of the 'National Development Project' on the 29th. The public audition judges include Choi Tae-won, Chairman of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Kim Taek-jin, CEO of NCSOFT; Lee Han-joo, CEO of Bespin Global; Lee Seung-gun, CEO of Toss; Park Hee-eun, Partner at Altos Ventures; and Lee Na-ri, CEO of HeyJoyce.
This program, named the 'Korea Idea League,' is the broadcast version of the 'National Development Project Contest' by the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, seeking private projects for national development in the post-COVID era.
In a pre-released teaser video, Chairman Choi said, "I hope that by using all means to inform many people about the contest, the public will also think about and judge which projects are better." He expressed his determination that the ideas become realities and contribute to national development, economic growth, and social progress.
Throughout the nearly 10-hour recording, Chairman Choi listened seriously to each idea and showed a collaborative spirit. It is said that he demonstrated coaching leadership based on business experience to the participants and played the role of mood maker among the judges with wit and consideration.
A total of 24 teams advanced to the audition, consisting of members from large corporations, startups, and research institutes. They were given opportunities such as a 60-second idea introduction (Round 1) and a 5-minute presentation (Round 2).
Currently, over 1,700 entries have been submitted to this contest. The corporate division received about 700 entries, the university division about 100, and the general division about 900. By theme, the entries were categorized as startup and jobs (22%), ESG (20%), health and safety (15%), regional development and small businesses (11%), low birthrate and aging population (9%), and culture and tourism (7%).

Citizens who wish to participate in the National Development Project Contest can apply through the website. The application deadline for the contest, which offers a total prize of 229 million KRW, is September 24. The 'Korea Idea League' will be broadcast for about 90 minutes starting at 10:50 AM on Sunday, August 29, on SBS and regional private broadcasters.
