Yongsan-gu Holds Anti-Corruption Education 'Online Integrity Golden Bell'
From the 23rd to 25th, a 15-question integrity quiz by field will be presented through the Saeol Administration popup window... Integrity office supplies will be provided to outstanding departments and high scorers
[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Yongsan-gu (Mayor Seongjanghyun) will hold the “Challenge! Online Integrity Golden Bell” event from the 23rd to the 25th as part of digital customized anti-corruption education.
The quiz consists of 15 questions on integrity topics such as the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act, the Code of Conduct for Public Officials, and Public Official Ethics, presented through a popup window in the Saeol Administrative System used by all employees.
The quiz questions are randomly selected from a question bank to ensure fairness. Departments (dong) with high participation rates and top scorers (250 people) will be awarded integrity promotional items.
A district official said, “We are making every effort to ensure the competition is conducted as fairly as possible,” adding, “We will maintain an appropriate difficulty level and increase employee participation through a repechage.”
After the event, the correct answers will be posted on the administrative bulletin board to maximize the educational effect.
Prior to the competition, the district operated a “Digital Integrity Self-Learning” program for six months from March to August. Through the Saeol Administrative popup window, 25 sessions of integrity learning content (Integrity Pledge, Honest Spoon, Emotional Messages, Integrity Guide, Integrity Proverbs, Integrity Card News, Integrity 1 Gram) were provided to encourage self-study.
The main topics included dilemmas in the code of conduct, workplace bullying, the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act, and cases of corruption, with repeated learning possible even after the popup window automatically launched.
Participants in the integrity self-learning and the Integrity Golden Bell receive 2 to 4 hours of continuous learning time required for public official promotion.
The district also operated the integrity communication channel “Integrity Radio” as part of digital customized anti-corruption education. From March to August, every Wednesday before work started, about 3 minutes of internal broadcasting was conducted, featuring integrity stories, proverbs, and integrity songs written and recorded by employees themselves.
Seongjanghyun, Mayor of Yongsan-gu, said, “In the With-Corona era, we are strengthening digital and non-face-to-face methods across all administrative fields,” adding, “We will continue to discover new projects to maintain our reputation as the top integrity district.”
The district is implementing four major strategies this year with the goal of “Yongsan, an integrity city that impresses its residents”: ▲Creating a culture of integrity in public service ▲Building anti-corruption integrity infrastructure ▲Special audits in vulnerable areas ▲Enhancing administrative transparency and reliability.
