'Health Rumors' Japanese Prime Minister Suga Receives Hospital Treatment
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] Yoshihide Suga, the Japanese Prime Minister who is in trouble due to a sharp drop in approval ratings, received medical treatment at a hospital on the 21st.
Local Japanese media reported that Prime Minister Suga received medical treatment at JR Tokyo General Hospital in Yoyogi, Shibuya Ward, Tokyo, on the morning of the same day.
According to the reports, an aide close to the Prime Minister explained, "This is a follow-up checkup from the comprehensive medical examination he underwent in April. It was a general consultation for health management and did not even reach the level of a health diagnosis. There are no issues with his physical condition."
Suga had his first comprehensive medical examination since taking office at this hospital on April 24 of this year.
Despite explanations that there are no health problems, Suga's hospital visit has attracted attention. He has been working continuously without a break for nearly five months since March 28 of this year.
