GS Chairman Huh Tae-soo's Compensation for the First Half of the Year is 1.6 Billion KRW
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] Heo Tae-soo, chairman of GS Group, received about 1.6 billion KRW as compensation in the first half of this year.
According to GS Group's semi-annual report on the 20th, Chairman Heo received 1.254 billion KRW in salary and 376 million KRW in bonuses from GS, the group's holding company, totaling 1.63 billion KRW.
Heo Tae-soo, the youngest brother of Heo Chang-soo, honorary chairman of GS Group, received 1.088 billion KRW in the first half after his inauguration last year, and this year it increased by about 540 million KRW compared to that.
Hong Soon-ki, president of GS, received a total of 618 million KRW in salary and bonuses in the first half.
GS Group explained that it paid base salaries according to the executive salary table by position, and bonuses were paid within 150% of the annual salary by comprehensively considering indicators such as net profit for the period, domestic and international economy, performance compared to competitors, and crisis response capability.
