SK Chairman Chey Tae-won, 3.8 Billion KRW Compensation in First Half of the Year
The 2.5 Billion Won Received from SK Hynix Was 'Returned'

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] Chey Tae-won, chairman of SK Group, received a total compensation of 3.8 billion KRW from affiliates in the first half of this year.
According to the semi-annual reports of SK and SK Hynix, Chairman Chey received 2.59 billion KRW from SK and 1.25 billion KRW from SK Hynix, totaling 3.84 billion KRW in compensation.
Chairman Chey received a salary of 1.5 billion KRW and a bonus of 1.09 billion KRW from SK, while from SK Hynix, he did not receive a salary but was paid a bonus of 1.25 billion KRW. Initially, Chairman Chey was scheduled to receive an annual salary of about 2.5 billion KRW from SK Hynix this year, but he did not receive the salary after declaring a salary return.
Previously, when complaints about performance bonuses arose at SK Hynix, Chairman Chey promised to return all the annual salary he received from SK Hynix.

SK paid Cho Dae-sik, chairman of the SK Supex Council, a total of 5.245 billion KRW, including a salary of 1 billion KRW and a bonus of 4.245 billion KRW. President Jang Dong-hyun received 3.782 billion KRW, and President Park Sung-ha received 1.48 billion KRW in compensation. Park Sung-wook, vice chairman of SK Hynix, received 1.354 billion KRW in bonuses and a total compensation of 1.955 billion KRW. Lee Seok-hee, president of SK Hynix, received a total compensation of 1.86 billion KRW, including a bonus of 1.172 billion KRW.
