Kim Hayong, chairman of the provincial council, issued a statement regarding this forum, saying, "Currently, Gyeongnam Province is in an emergency state due to the spread of COVID-19, causing difficulties in the people's economy and a situation of acting authority."
He continued, "It is necessary to share the current major provincial government issues such as the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam (Bu-Ul-Gyeong) Megacity and the Western Gyeongnam KTX with the residents and actively reflect the will of the residents."
The aim is to seek joint solutions in cooperation with the executive branch and to promote the interests of the residents.
