Secured 2 Export Agreements in One Day... Busan City Holds 'Global Healthcare Week' Online Export Consultation
Online Consultations and $50,000 in Deals from 2 MOUs over Two Days at BEXCO Starting the 19th
69 Companies Participating Including 42 from Busan and 4 Countries: Japan, Vietnam, China, Russia
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] An export consultation meeting for a cosmetics company in Busan is being held online.
Busan City announced that from the 19th, for two days, it will hold the '2021 Global Healthcare Week' online export consultation meeting at the underground video consultation hall of BEXCO Exhibition Center 1.
Due to the spread of COVID-19 and the elevation of social distancing in the Busan area to level 4, only the online export consultation meeting will be conducted this time, and experiential events will be held in November.
Originally, this year's event was scheduled to include exhibitions and experiential events for overseas promotion and export of cosmetics, welfare rehabilitation, and anti-aging products from the Busan area, as well as online export consultation meetings.
A total of 69 companies participated in this online export consultation meeting, including 24 local cosmetics companies and 18 welfare rehabilitation and anti-aging companies facing difficulties in developing overseas markets due to COVID-19, and 27 companies from four countries: Japan, Vietnam, China, and Russia.
To ensure a successful online export consultation meeting, Busan City recruited participating companies and buyers since April and made efforts such as assigning interpreters to each booth for smooth consultations.
Despite the difficulties of conducting the event only online, on the first day, a business agreement (MOU) worth $50,000 in export value was signed, including one cosmetics deal and one anti-aging product deal. It is expected that many of these consultations will lead to export contracts.
The cosmetics company that signed the export agreement at this consultation is D&V Korea, which produces premium snail cream, and the anti-aging company is O2Lab, which manufactures toe correction functional shoes.
