Seoul Museum of History Publishes 'World City Guide' Featuring Global Cities
Themes of Global Cities Reflecting Seoul's Past, Present, and Future Vision
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul History Compilation Institute announced on the 20th that it is publishing the contents of the Seoul History Lecture series in the form of popular educational books to broaden Seoul citizens' historical education and cultural enjoyment.
This book is organized around the theme of Seoul's past, present, future vision, and similar world cities. It is a travel book exploring world cities with histories and cultures that seem similar yet different from Seoul, including Beijing in China, Hanoi in Vietnam, Rome in Italy, Paris in France, Tehran in Iran, and Curitiba in Brazil.
The 12th volume of the Seoul History Lecture series explains various world cities in an easy-to-understand style. It also includes numerous photos and illustrations to aid comprehension. The book is scheduled to be used as a textbook for the Seoul History Lecture in the second half of 2021, and the lecture will be held online starting August 27.
The 12th volume of the Seoul History Lecture series can be purchased for 10,000 won at Seoul Bookstores and online, and will be distributed free of charge at various libraries throughout Seoul.
