Hyosung TNC Receiving Love Calls from Fashion Brands like The North Face and Covernat
Hyosung TNC Supplies 'Regen Seoul' to The North Face, National Geographic, and Covernat
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] Hyosung TNC's recycled fiber made from waste plastic, 'regen®seoul,' has recently been receiving love calls from domestic outdoor and fashion brands embracing eco-friendly trends.
Since July, Hyosung TNC has been supplying regen®seoul for 21FW (Fall/Winter 2021) products to The North Face, National Geographic, and Covernat. These three brands plan to launch new eco-friendly products featuring regen®seoul between August and September.
The reason brands targeting younger generations are seeking regen®seoul is interpreted as aligning with the MZ generation's (Millennials + Generation Z) trend of eco-conscious 'value consumption.' In addition to The North Face, National Geographic, and Covernat, several other fashion brands have requested regen®seoul supply.
Regen®seoul is a fiber made by recycling waste PET bottles collected from various areas in Seoul, including Geumcheon-gu, Yeongdeungpo-gu, and Gangnam-gu.
Hyosung TNC not only supplies fiber to collaborating brands but also conducts online and offline promotions targeting the MZ generation. They plan to continuously engage with consumers by sharing various garments made from regen®seoul on their Instagram account (@hyosung_textiles).
