Toss to Hold 'Design Conference' Online at the End of August
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Mobile financial platform Toss announced on the 19th that it will hold a design conference, ‘Simplicity 21,’ at the end of this month.
The Toss design conference was organized to widely share the experiences of designers who have implemented Toss’s easy and simple user experience. The conference name was chosen based on the principle of ‘Simplicity,’ which Toss considers most important when designing products. The conference will be held online for four days from the 30th of this month to the 2nd of next month, and applications will be accepted from 2 p.m. on the 19th until the 30th.
This conference takes ‘Designers have a special power to change the world’ as its main theme. About 20 designers from Toss and its affiliates will serve as speakers, sharing cases and know-how on solving problems Toss has faced through design over 19 sessions during the four days.
The first day focuses on ‘Obsession,’ introducing the efforts of designers who have designed UX experiences for users. The second day’s theme is ‘Detail,’ showing the product improvement process where every word and button is carefully placed. The third day’s sessions, under the theme ‘Extramile (Endless Effort),’ capture how Toss designers tirelessly work to further improve user experience. On the last day, cases of ‘Paradigm Shift,’ where perspectives were changed and fixed design frameworks were broken to solve problems, will be revealed.
