Previously, in 2018, the Supreme Court ruled that Mitsubishi Heavy Industries must pay between 80 million KRW and 150 million KRW per person to the forced labor victims, but Mitsubishi Heavy Industries did not comply. Subsequently, the families of the forced labor victims confirmed that Mitsubishi had been conducting transactions with LS Mtron and applied to the court earlier this month to seize the payment claims. Despite the Supreme Court ruling, Mitsubishi did not fulfill the compensation, leading to the discovery of Mitsubishi’s domestic claims.
