Gyeongnam Jeongbodae Selected as 'General Financial Support University' in University Basic Competency Diagnosis... Evaluation of Enrollment Rate, Employment Rate, and Employment Support
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Gyeongnam Information University has been selected as a 'General Financial Support University' in the preliminary results of the '2021 University Basic Competency Diagnosis.'
The University Basic Competency Diagnosis, announced by the Ministry of Education on the 17th, marks its third cycle this year. It evaluates whether universities have sufficient infrastructure and performance to provide higher education.
Quantitative achievements such as student enrollment rates and graduate employment rates from 2018 to 2020, as well as qualitative achievements including curriculum operation, student learning competency support, and employment and entrepreneurship support, were assessed.
Gyeongnam Information University, selected as a General Financial Support University in this evaluation, will be able to participate in government financial support projects for the next three years.
In national projects such as the University Innovation Support Project, the university can execute budgets at its discretion without government financial support restrictions and will be eligible to apply for various financial support projects.
Choo Man-seok, president of Gyeongnam Information University, said, “I sincerely thank the faculty and staff who worked together for the university’s development despite many difficulties,” adding, “Gyeongnam Information University will not relax its efforts to firmly establish its position as the nation’s top specialized university.”
