[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Home&Shopping (CEO Kim Ok-chan) announced on the 18th that it has launched 1,000 small and medium-sized partner companies through the 'Ilsacheonri' broadcast, which discovers and supports excellent products from small and medium enterprises.
Ilsacheonri is a project that discovers excellent small and medium enterprise products and local specialties in connection with metropolitan and provincial local governments nationwide and regional headquarters of the Korea Federation of SMEs, and supports sales through TV home shopping broadcasts. Since its inception in 2012, the project has expanded every year, showcasing 1,000 excellent regional SME products through TV home shopping over the past 10 years. In May, the cumulative product order amount reached 100 billion KRW.
In particular, it has received a favorable response by offering relatively low commissions to local SMEs struggling to secure sales distribution channels. Home&Shopping aims to nurture mega brands of SMEs, and products with good consumer responses are switched from Ilsacheonri broadcasts to regular broadcasts to provide more broadcasting opportunities. Among the products launched through Ilsacheonri, about 80 products have been converted to regular broadcasts. In addition, reflecting the demands of participating companies in Ilsacheonri, mobile continuous sales have been activated and the pre-order period has been extended.

Home&Shopping will continue to discover excellent products through the Ilsacheonri project this year as well. In cooperation with 17 metropolitan cities and provinces, it plans to support 132 products, and the broadcast time per product is being expanded from the previous 30 minutes to 50 minutes. Kim Ok-chan, CEO of Home&Shopping, said, "Home&Shopping has steadily worked for the past 10 years to realize the founding purpose of coexistence with SMEs by supporting the market development of SMEs struggling to secure sales channels," adding, "We will continue to spare no support so that small and medium partner companies can improve sales through Home&Shopping's market support projects."
