HiteJinro Launches Promotion of K-Soju 'Chamisul' in New Zealand
Participated as a Sponsor in the '2021 New Zealand Hanin Day K-Festival'
[Wanju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] HiteJinro (CEO Kim In-kyu) has been steadily continuing its overseas promotional activities for its flagship soju brand, ‘Chamisul’.
HiteJinro announced on the 17th that it participated as a sponsor in the ‘2021 New Zealand Korean Day K-Festival’ held in Auckland, New Zealand on the 14th (local time), carrying out brand promotion activities.
At this event, HiteJinro installed a large screen at the entrance of the ‘K-Festival’ venue to effectively expose the brand by screening the Chamisul global TV commercial, and set up interior decorations and a photo wall using Chamisul products and Jinro Dokkaebi LED posters, attracting the attention of participants.
Additionally, a tasting booth was prepared inside the venue, offering Chamisul, Jinro Is Back, and Aseul series fruit liqueurs, introducing K-soju to over 3,000 local consumers who visited the booth.
Jessica Macrae (23), a New Zealander who visited the booth, said, “I have always been interested in Korean culture and had planned to visit Korea, but could not due to COVID-19. I was very happy to enjoy Korean food and soju through this event.”
HiteJinro is focusing on the growing trend of interest in K-food in New Zealand and aims to increase brand awareness by providing opportunities to directly experience the ‘Chamisul’ brand through this festival.
In particular, it plans to introduce fruit liqueurs in various ways to the local young generation who prefer sweet alcoholic beverages and to intensify its market penetration in New Zealand.
Through this festival, HiteJinro plans to firmly establish the young and dynamic brand image of Chamisul not only among the Korean community but also among locals, and actively conduct promotions and tasting events linked with Korean restaurants.
