The activities were held over three days under the themes of ‘Practice Proper Handwashing!’, ‘Wise Bathroom Habits’, and ‘Defeating Infectious Diseases’.
Using the picture book ‘Beni’s Secret’ produced in collaboration between ‘ODAgada’ and Gwangsan-gu, activities such as acrylic paint hand stamping, infectious disease prevention crossword puzzles, soap making, and mask strap making were conducted, along with education on proper coughing etiquette, mask wearing methods, and practicing separate mask disposal.
This educational activity consisted of various participatory activities that could stimulate the interest of local elementary school students, receiving high responses from the participating students and greatly contributing to enhancing the local community’s infectious disease prevention capabilities.
Kim Seong-eun, a sophomore nursing student, said, “I learned a lot through the three-day educational campaign booth activities. There were times when I felt overwhelmed during the preparation process, but thanks to the professor, Gwangsan-gu officer Park Jin, and the club members, we were able to finish well. It was meaningful to practice SDGs Goal 3 through this booth campaign operation.”
Meanwhile, the ‘ODAgada’ club is conducting various workshops to produce a picture book on the theme of Vol. 5 ‘Responding to the Climate Crisis’ and is preparing for a climate crisis-related contest.
