Myeong Seong-ho Appointed as New President of Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bong-su] The National Research Council of Science & Technology appointed Myung Seong-ho, the current principal researcher, as the new president of the Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as KERI) at the 156th extraordinary board meeting held on the 13th at the Seoul Science and Technology Center.
President Myung graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in Electrical Engineering in 1981 and earned his master's (1983) and doctoral (1996) degrees in Electrical Engineering from the same university's graduate school. Since 1985, he has worked as a researcher at KERI, serving as Deputy Director of Research, Deputy Director of Testing, Director of Future Strategy Office, and Head of the Next-Generation Power Grid Research Division. His term is three years.
