Desker Partners with LoungeLab to Open 'Desker Membership Beach Lounge'
Operating until the 22nd for Desker Membership Members at Jukdo Beach, Yangyang, Gangwon-do
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jonghwa] Furniture brand DESKER, in collaboration with robotics service startup LoungeLab, has unveiled the 'DESKER Membership Beach Lounge,' a future lifestyle space at Jukdo Beach in Yangyang, Gangwon Province.
The DESKER Membership Beach Lounge is an offline space where visitors can explore the transformed future lifestyle applying advanced technologies such as robotics and artificial intelligence (AI). Since early this year, DESKER has been discussing various projects with LoungeLab aiming to combine technology and lifestyle, and the DESKER Membership Beach Lounge is the first result of this collaboration.
The DESKER Membership Beach Lounge consists of an indoor lounge on the first floor and a rooftop on the second floor. The first floor is equipped with DESKER products such as round and big tables, allowing visitors to relax comfortably and easily charge their mobile phones or laptops using the built-in outlets in the DESKER tables. Additionally, LoungeLab operates the ice cream robot 'ARIS,' which was developed in-house; visitors can select their preferred flavor and shape via a touch display, and the robot directly serves the ice cream in a cup. The second-floor rooftop, furnished with sunbeds, offers a panoramic view of Jukdo Beach. The DESKER Membership Beach Lounge will operate until the 22nd and is freely accessible to all DESKER membership holders.
A DESKER representative stated, "The DESKER Membership Beach Lounge, prepared with LoungeLab, provides visitors with relaxation and a glimpse into future lifestyles," adding, "We will continue to offer diverse experiences to customers along with products that reflect changing lifestyles."
