[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] The Taekwondo Promotion Foundation and the Gangwon-do Sports Council signed a business agreement on the 12th to promote the national sport Taekwondo.
At the business agreement ceremony held at the Gangwon-do Sports Council Hall on the day, both parties promised cooperation for the promotion and dissemination of the national sport Taekwondo, as well as joint development of programs that can be mutually linked and support cooperation.
Yang Hee-gu, president of the Gangwon-do Sports Council, said, "Chuncheon City even has a separate organization related to Taekwondo, and Gangwon-do and the Sports Council will cooperate for the development of Taekwondo," expressing hope for the interest and support of the Taekwondo Promotion Foundation.
In response, Oh Eung-hwan, chairman of the Taekwondo Promotion Foundation, stated, "We will prepare support measures for Taekwondo dojangs and instructors nationwide, including Gangwon-do, to revitalize the national sport Taekwondo."
