Geuinmo, Geochang County Governor, Rolls Up Sleeves to Secure Provincial Budget Funding
Recommendation of 21.7 Billion KRW for 19 Projects Including Geoyeolsanseong Access Road Construction

View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Gu In-mo, the mayor of Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam, visited the Gyeongnam Provincial Western Office on the 12th to request financial support for securing the budget for urgent projects, aiming to secure the largest national and provincial budget ever in 2022.
The projects proposed by the county to Gyeongsangnam-do on this day include ▲Geoyeolsanseong Access Road Construction (8.3 billion KRW) ▲Ungokcheon Ecological Stream Restoration Project (2.5 billion KRW) ▲Connection Project of Hiking Trails including Suseungdae Area (2.2 billion KRW) ▲Geochang Changpowon Waterfront Space Ecological Resource Development Project (1.6 billion KRW) ▲Ppaejae Extreme Leisure Adventure Town Construction Project (1.5 billion KRW) ▲Small-scale Water Facility Improvement Project (1.1 billion KRW), totaling 19 projects amounting to 21.7 billion KRW, with a total project cost of 145.2 billion KRW.
First, in a meeting with Jeong Yeonsang, Director of the Agricultural Policy Bureau, the necessity of budget for establishing farming convenience infrastructure, repair and maintenance of water facilities in Ungyang District, and large-scale land readjustment in Seodeok District was explained.
Next, meeting with Lee In-sook, Director of Western Balanced Development Bureau, he requested prompt support of the unallocated budget to ensure smooth progress of the Geoyeolsanseong Access Road construction project.
Finally, in a meeting with Jeong Seok-won, Director of Climate, Environment and Forestry Bureau, Mayor Gu actively requested budget for the Suseungdae Hiking Trail Connection Project, Ppaejae Extreme Leisure Adventure Town Construction Project, supplementary projects for local gardens (Geochang Changpowon), and the Geochang Changpowon Waterfront Space Ecological Resource Development Project.
