Jeon Yeo-ok: "Cho Kuk is finished, only collapse remains like a Lego tower missing its base"
"Jomin's 'Intern Cosplay' Also Ends"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Juhee] Jeon Yeo-ok, former member of the People Power Party, stated on the 11th that "In conclusion, Cho Kuk is finished," as Jung Kyung-shim, wife of former Minister of Justice Cho Kuk, who was indicted for her children's admission corruption and private equity fund suspicions, was sentenced to four years in prison in the appellate trial.
In a post on her blog that day, former lawmaker Jeon said, "The court also confirmed in Cho Kuk's trial, where he exercised his right to remain silent, that 'Cho Kuk also falsified the internship certificate,'" explaining her statement.
Earlier, the appellate court judged all seven major specs of their daughter Cho Min to be false, just as in the first trial. The court also upheld the first trial's judgment that former Minister Cho was involved in the preparation of the Seoul National University Public Interest Human Rights Law Center internship confirmation letter.
Regarding this, former lawmaker Jeon pointed out, "The court held (Professor Jung) strictly responsible for fabricating their daughter Cho Min's fake specs together with Cho Kuk," adding, "However, it is really hard to accept that the private equity fund corruption was almost acquitted."
She continued, saying she heard from a doctor she knows that Cho Min was working very hard as an intern, and criticized, "Working hard is indeed a good thing, but it is pitiful and astonishing to see Cho Kuk's daughter 'playing intern cosplay' in a place where others should be."
She then said, "In conclusion, Cho Kuk is finished. The fact is that Cho Min's internship play is over," adding, "Since all specs were revealed to be fake, there is nothing left but to collapse all at once like a Lego tower with a missing base."
Former lawmaker Jeon also commented on Professor Jung's verdict, saying, "It is truly fortunate for our society and country," and added, "Because we have come to know the true nature of the hypocritical attention seeker Cho Kuk, who flaunted a very impressive name and a plausible appearance."
