On the 11th, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance Hong Nam-ki held a meeting with related ministers to review the real estate market at the Government Seoul Office and announced these plans.
Deputy Prime Minister Hong said, "Today, to promote housing supply in the metropolitan area, we plan to discuss detailed plans for supplying approximately 3,200 housing units by utilizing the former military base site in Namyangju City," adding, "Based on the results, we plan to approve and announce specific project consignment and development plans through the State Property Policy Deliberation Committee on the 12th."
He explained, "For the three project sites in the metropolitan area, including the Namyangju military base site, we will expedite the designation of public housing districts and other permits and approvals as quickly as possible."
This year, the pre-sale housing units will also be expanded from the initially planned 30,000 to 32,000 units.
Deputy Prime Minister Hong stated, "The pre-sale housing units for this year will be increased from 30,000 to 32,000, with 10,000 units supplied in October (including Namyangju Wangsuk 2), 4,000 units in November (including Hanam Gyosan), and 14,000 units in December (including Namyangju Wangsuk) sequentially," adding, "Next year, 30,000 units will also be supplied through pre-sale." He also said, "We are reviewing plans to expand pre-sale for private housing and the supply volumes under the 2·4 measures to meet the confirmed demand from actual buyers," and added, "We will finalize and announce this in August."
Deputy Prime Minister Hong emphasized, "We will finalize and announce specific plans, including alternative sites for Taereung CC and Gwacheon sites, within this month."
He stressed, "The development concepts, including the basic directions for the 33,000 new housing sites, have all been prepared, and consultations with related agencies, detailed project planning, and detailed design are steadily progressing for each site."
He explained that the unsold site in Magok will undergo design this year and sequential construction will begin from July next year.
Regarding the Public Procurement Service site, the plan for managing the supply of the temporary office relocation before the new building at Suseo Station area has been approved, and the budget has been secured to complete the temporary office relocation by the end of next year.

Deputy Prime Minister Hong concluded, "In the second half of the year, we expect the pace of project promotion to accelerate further due to the effects of strengthened support systems such as the implementation of capital gains tax reductions, priority supply of public housing sites to developers, and low-interest loans covering 90% of project costs."
