Second Practical Test on September 7 at Sports Complex, Final 11 Selected After Third Interview
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Pohang City, Gyeongbuk announced on the 10th that 232 people applied for this year's public recruitment of public service environmental workers, showing a high competition rate of 21.1 to 1.
The age distribution of applicants was 61 people (26%) in their 20s, 95 people (41%) in their 30s, 64 people (28%) in their 40s, and 12 people (5%) in their 50s. 61% of the applicants were highly educated, having graduated from graduate schools or universities, and 9 women also applied, showing high awareness and interest in environmental workers.
Pohang City originally planned to select 55 people, five times the number of recruits, through the first document screening, but due to 18 applicants tying, 57 people were selected as first-round passers.
On September 7, at the Comprehensive Stadium, 20 people who pass the second practical test (50m shuttle run, throwing, sit-ups) will go through a third interview to select 11 final successful candidates.
The high competition rate is analyzed to be due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic causing companies where workers are employed to suffer management difficulties, and the increase of people in their 20s and 30s seeking stable jobs due to difficulties in youth employment.
