Incheon Airport Selected as 'Excellent Airport for COVID-19 Prevention' by Skytrax
[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] Incheon International Airport Corporation announced on the 9th that Incheon Airport won two awards at the '2021 World Airport Awards' hosted by Skytrax: the 'COVID-19 Prevention Excellence Airport Award' and the 'Best Security Screening Airport Award.'
Skytrax, a UK-based aviation service consulting firm, conducts annual online surveys of travelers worldwide regarding airport check-in, arrivals, transfers, and shopping, evaluating the service quality of airports and airlines globally.
The corporation explained that despite the sharp decline in global air travel demand due to the spread of COVID-19, Incheon Airport was recognized for providing safe services based on proactive quarantine measures.
Following last year's awards for 'Best Transit Airport' and 'Best Terminal' (Terminal 2), Incheon Airport set a record by winning two awards for two consecutive years.
