Jeonbuk Province Forms Dedicated TF for COVID-19 Coexistence National Support Fund
[Jeonju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Han-ho] Jeollabuk-do announced on the 9th that it will form and operate a ‘COVID-19 Coexistence National Support Fund TF (Task Force)’ to promptly execute the government’s 5th disaster relief fund (COVID-19 Coexistence National Support Fund).
The ‘COVID-19 Coexistence National Support Fund TF’ is composed of four teams: the overall operation team, execution management team, administrative support team, and media response team, led by Deputy Governor Choi Hoon.
The dedicated TF will establish a detailed implementation plan tailored to Jeollabuk-do’s circumstances once the government’s detailed plan, including payment criteria and usage locations for the COVID-19 Coexistence National Support Fund, is announced around mid-August.
In particular, it will support the smooth execution of the support fund, including operating a call center, and cities and counties will also establish and promote their own plans.
This COVID-19 Coexistence National Support Fund will provide 250,000 KRW per person to about 88% of the entire population, applying preferential criteria for dual-income households and single-person households within the bottom 80% of household income.
For low-income groups such as basic livelihood security recipients and near-poverty classes, an additional 100,000 KRW per person will be provided in cash.
The support fund will be distributed through various methods such as credit/debit cards and local gift certificates via online and offline applications.
However, specific details such as application and payment dates are expected to be decided later.
