Prosecutors Summarily Indict Kim Heung-guk on Motorcycle Hit-and-Run Charges

According to the legal community on the 5th, the Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office summarily indicted Kim on the 3rd for hit-and-run injury under the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Crimes and violation of the Road Traffic Act (failure to take action after an accident).

Kim is accused of running a red light and making an illegal left turn while driving an SUV at around 11:20 a.m. on April 24 at the intersection in Ichon-dong, Yongsan-gu, hitting a motorcycle and fleeing the scene. The motorcycle rider is reported to have injured their leg. The police analyzed black box footage, on-site CCTV, witness statements, and the victim's hospital treatment records, concluding that Kim's charges are valid.
