On the same day, Yoon posted on his Facebook, "There have been reports that four individuals who received orders from North Korea and conducted activities opposing the introduction of the U.S.'s latest stealth fighter jet F-35A are under investigation, and three of them have even been detained," adding, "Under this administration, which prioritized relations with North Korea, the fact that so many have been detained suggests that the matter is clear and the evidence is solid."
He continued, "According to reports, three North Korean agents were secretly contacted overseas, received orders, and even funds to carry out these activities, which included opposing the fighter jet introduction and covertly promoting Chairman Kim Jong-un's visit to South Korea," pointing out, "This is a very serious matter revealing that 'organized espionage activities' still exist in the Republic of Korea." He also added, "The four individuals accused of espionage were members of the special advisory group of candidate Moon Jae-in's election campaign committee during the May 2017 presidential election and even declared support for candidate Moon."
Yoon emphasized, "The Moon Jae-in administration reduced the defense budget by about 560 billion won, including cutting the F-35A introduction budget to secure funds for disaster relief payments," stating, "This is why a thorough investigation into this spy case is absolutely necessary." He noted that the public is closely watching the investigation process and results, saying, "Cases suspected of connections with power, such as the Ulsan mayor election interference case, Lime and Optimus cases, and Eastar Jet case, which hinder the extension or protection of the regime, were not properly investigated or were swept under the rug. This case must not end up the same way."
