Hyundai Motor sells 309,901 units worldwide in July, down 2.4% YoY
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] Hyundai Motor Company announced on the 2nd that it sold 309,901 units last month, including 59,856 units domestically and 250,045 units overseas, a 2.4% decrease compared to the same month last year.
Compared to the same period last year, domestic sales decreased by 22.6%, while overseas sales increased by 4.2%.
Hyundai Motor sold 59,856 units in the domestic market, down 22.6% from the same period last year, due to the semiconductor shortage and other factors.
Sedans sold a total of 14,374 units, including 5,247 units of Grandeur, 3,712 units of Sonata, and 5,386 units of Avante. Recreational Vehicles (RVs) sold a total of 18,509 units, including 4,695 units of Palisade, 4,452 units of Santa Fe, and 3,972 units of Tucson.
Porter recorded sales of 8,804 units, Staria sold 4,018 units, and medium-to-large buses and trucks sold 2,201 units. The premium brand Genesis sold a total of 11,950 units, including 5,028 units of G80, 3,792 units of GV70, and 2,159 units of GV80.
In the overseas market, Hyundai Motor sold 250,045 units, a 4.2% increase compared to the same period last year.
