KT, 3-Month Basic Fee Waiver for New 'RangTalk' Subscribers
[Asia Economy Reporter Seolgina Jo] KT announced that starting from the 1st of August, it will hold a promotion exempting the basic fee for 3 months for new subscribers to the ‘RangTalk’ service during the summer vacation.
RangTalk is a secure communication service that allows teachers, parents, and students to communicate freely without exposing personal information by using a smartphone app. It provides real-time information such as notification books, general announcements, and school meal menus, and offers features like setting teacher call availability times. Since its launch in March, about 844 schools (15,027 teachers) have adopted the service within 5 months.
Schools or education offices that subscribe to RangTalk this month can receive a 3-month exemption of the basic fee, which ranges from 1,980 to 5,280 KRW per line. Call charges and message usage fees incurred based on usage, beyond the basic services (SMS, LMS, MMS) provided in the plan, are excluded from the exemption.
