Geochang-gun, Early Payment of Disaster Relief Funds for Cold Damage to Forest Crops... County Budget Provided
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 30th that it has urgently allocated contingency funds and pre-paid 231.18 million KRW to about 200 forestry farms to support rapid disaster recovery for forestry households affected by abnormal low temperatures.
In April of this year, many forestry farms cultivating forest products such as omija, bracken, walnuts, and wild pears suffered significant damage due to abnormal low temperatures.
Following last year, the abnormal low temperatures occurring again this year deepened the concerns of forestry households, prompting the county to decide to pre-pay the funds from the county budget before the national subsidy is granted, helping them return to normal operations quickly and minimize damage.
