View original image[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education held the 'Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education 2nd Term Integrity Citizen Auditor Appointment Ceremony and Temporary Council Meeting' on the 29th in the large conference room on the 2nd floor of the government building, attended by 41 Integrity Citizen Auditors.
On this day, appreciation plaques were presented to 5 members of the 1st term Integrity Citizen Auditors, and appointment letters were awarded along with an integrity pledge ceremony for the 41 members appointed as the 2nd term Integrity Citizen Auditors.
The 2nd term Integrity Citizen Auditors consist of experts from various fields such as education, administration, law, and architecture, as well as members of civil society organizations and local community figures. Starting next month, they will participate in inspection activities covering the overall operation of Jeonnam education administration and various anti-corruption and integrity activities for two years.
The Office of Education expects that the 2nd term Integrity Citizen Auditors, composed of a total of 50 members including both reappointed and newly appointed individuals, will carry out effective activities through mutual cooperation.
Superintendent Jang Seok-woong stated, “The role of Integrity Citizen Auditors is important for the leap in integrity of Jeonnam education,” and urged, “Please actively express opinions so that unreasonable systems and practices can be improved from the perspective of the residents.”

Meanwhile, since 2019, the Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education has been operating the Integrity Citizen Auditor system, which integrates and unifies the existing Integrity Ombudsman and Resident Auditor systems.
