Geoje-si, Gyeongnam, "Bridging Government Gaps through Life Informatization Education"
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Geoje City, Gyeongnam Province announced on the 29th that the second half of 2021 Citizen Informatization Education will be held from September 6 to December 3.
The courses include basic computer and internet skills, basic Hangul, Excel, PowerPoint and certification preparation, basic smartphone and kiosk usage, offered in 2 to 4 week programs (day and night classes), and are free for all Geoje citizens.
Applications can be made from August 23 through the city hall website under Life Information - Lifelong Education - Informatization Education, and for computer beginners and seniors, applications are also accepted by phone through the Information and Communication Department.

A Geoje City official stated, "Citizen Informatization Education will greatly help to bridge the information gap between social classes, improve citizens' informatization skills, and enhance quality of life," urging active interest and participation from citizens.
