[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dong-hyun] Korean male judo representative Jo Gu-ham (KH Group Philux) advanced to the semifinals.
On the 29th, Jo Gu-ham won by ippon with a te-guruma in golden score (overtime) against Karl Richard Frey (Germany) in the men's 100kg quarterfinals at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics held at the Nippon Budokan in Tokyo, Japan.
Jo Gu-ham will face Jorge Fonseca (Portugal) in the semifinals. If he wins this match, he will compete for the gold medal against the winner between Ura Aaron (Japan) and Barlam Liparteliani (Georgia).
