Korea ICT Develops Nation's First 'Elevator Integrated Management System'
[Asia Economy Reporter Junhyung Lee] Advanced materials and components company Korea ICT announced on the 29th that it has developed the country's first add-on type integrated elevator management system that applies artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), and other technologies in an integrated manner.
This technology allows real-time monitoring of elevator emergency situations by installing only a monitoring module without replacing the already installed elevators and control panels. It can monitor elevators from about 60 manufacturers in real time without receiving separate data from the manufacturers. The monitoring module enables remote control of elevators, which can help quickly evacuate passengers trapped inside.
It can also prevent safety accidents in advance. According to the company, it manages the operating time and replacement history of elevator parts as big data to prevent product failures beforehand. The integrated management system collects and manages big data on elevator management by manufacturer, which can improve not only safety but also operational quality.
