#Mr. A reported a group in the cultural and arts education sector that fabricated employees who did not actually work to receive government project funds, receiving a reward of 47.04 million KRW from the government. Thanks to Mr. A, over 420 million KRW was recovered.
#Mr. B reported a public institution employee who accepted bribes under the pretense of repaying debts. Thanks to Mr. B, a fine of 75 million KRW was imposed on the fraudulent recipient, and Mr. B received a reward of 22.5 million KRW.
#Mr. C reported a combat goggles company that fabricated false transaction records during a government bidding process and received a reward of 30 million KRW. Thanks to Mr. C, the government recovered a contract deposit of over 800 million KRW.
The Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission announced on the 29th that it awarded a total of 292.3 million KRW in rewards and compensations to 25 whistleblowers who reported such government subsidy 'freeloaders.' Thanks to these reports, public institutions were able to recover over 1.21 billion KRW in revenue.
In addition to the above cases, rewards were given for reporting the following: 8.26 million KRW to a whistleblower who reported a company that falsely claimed to supply Chinese-made solar cell modules as domestically produced (the company was fined over 41 million KRW); 8 million KRW to a whistleblower who reported the sale of pharmaceuticals to unauthorized persons and the operation of pharmacies by non-licensees (a fine of 40 million KRW was imposed).
