Kim Geun-sik: "Kim Kyung-soo went to prison instead of the higher-ups... A good person in Moon's eyes"

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Juhyung] Professor Kim Geunsik of Gyeongnam National University, chairman of the People Power Party's Songpabyung district in Seoul, sarcastically criticized former Gyeongnam Governor Kim Kyungsoo, who was sentenced to prison for conspiracy in the 'Druking comment manipulation' case, saying he is "a good person in the eyes of President Moon Jaein."
On the 27th, Professor Kim wrote on his Facebook, "The reason he is considered good is not because he was unknowingly deceived by the Druking gang, but because he went to prison on behalf of his superiors," he claimed.
He added, "Former Governor Kim is indeed a good person," and "He looks very kind in the way he wraps things up on his own to protect the person he serves."
Previously, the ruling party had made claims that former Governor Kim was "a good person who trusts people well." It was suggested that Kim might have participated in the comment manipulation activities without knowing the truth.
Former Minister of Justice Choo Mi-ae wrote on Facebook on the 21st, "I believe in Governor Kim's innocence," and "Due to his inherently good nature and tendency to trust people, his goodwill and consideration towards the fanatical supporter group might have unintentionally become a snare."
In response, Professor Kim said, "The reason he is good is that he mistakes malicious comment manipulation for a 'positive comment campaign' and misinterprets organized public opinion manipulation as voluntary supporter activity, trying to take responsibility for his superiors himself," and sarcastically pointed out, "The ruling party's intention to praise Governor Kim endlessly as a good person, and from the 'perspective of the mastermind' who did not expose his superiors and protected them to the end, he is indeed a very good person."

Anyone can see that it is not common sense that Kim Kyungsoo, then campaign chief of candidate Moon Jaein, conspired with Druking alone," he pointed out.
He added, "Go Minjung getting upset over every meal, and tearfully sending off Governor Kim?isn't it because Governor Kim is bearing everything and going to prison?" and criticized, "While posting on social media daily about the gold medal-winning Taeguk warriors, remaining silent without a word about Governor Kim, who is imprisoned, is too heartless morally, ethically, and politically. It is an irresponsible abandonment and a cruel scapegoating."
Meanwhile, former Governor Kim, who was sentenced to two years in prison by the Supreme Court on the 21st, was re-incarcerated at Changwon Prison around 12:50 pm on the 26th.
