Gyeongnam Province Reports 41 New COVID-19 Cases... Cluster Infections at Manufacturing Workplaces, etc. (Comprehensive)

As of 1:30 PM on the 27th, Gyeongnam Province reported 41 confirmed cases.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Gyeongsangnam-do announced that as of 1:30 PM on the 27th, 41 new confirmed cases have been reported since 5 PM the previous day.

By region, there are 34 cases in Changwon, 3 in Gimhae, and 1 each in Jinju, Sacheon, Miryang, and Goseong.

Among the confirmed cases in Changwon, 9 are workers at a manufacturing workplace in Changwon and have been classified as cases 6753 to 6760 and 6763 after testing positive. The workplace is currently temporarily closed.

Two are family members of confirmed cases related to a restaurant in Changwon and have been classified as cases 6750 and 6751 after testing positive. This brings the total number of confirmed cases related to the Changwon restaurant to 80.

18 cases are currently under investigation for their infection routes and have been classified as cases 6752, 6761, 6768 to 6774, 6780, 6782 to 6788, and 6790 after testing positive.

Four cases contracted the virus after contact with confirmed cases within the province and have been classified as cases 6767, 6775, 6778, and 6779 after testing positive.

The remaining one case is an overseas entrant and has been classified as case 6789 after testing positive.

The three confirmed cases in Gimhae are acquaintances of confirmed cases within the province and have been classified as cases 6764 to 6766 after testing positive.

The one confirmed case in Jinju contracted the virus after contact with a confirmed case related to a Jinju entertainment bar and has been classified as case 6781 after testing positive. This brings the total number of confirmed cases related to the Jinju entertainment bar to 37.

The one confirmed case each in Goseong, Sacheon, and Miryang contracted the virus after contact with confirmed cases within the province and have been classified as cases 6762, 6776, and 6777 after testing positive.
