LG Electronics Launches New Air Purifier for Pet-Friendly Households
[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] LG Electronics launched the air purifier for pet-owning households, the 'PuriCare 360° Air Purifier Pet Alpha Objet Collection,' on the 27th.
Following the popularity of the PuriCare 360° Air Purifier Alpha Objet Collection introduced earlier this year, LG Electronics is expanding customer choices by adding a pet (Pet) dedicated model.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs' national awareness survey on animal protection, the number of pet-owning households in Korea reached 6.38 million last year, an increase of 470,000 households compared to 2019. In line with this trend, LG Electronics has been applying pet-dedicated features such as Pet Mode, photocatalyst filters, and attachable microfiber filters to pet models since 2019.

Additionally, the attachable microfiber filter allows easy removal of pet hair and dust stuck to the filter and can be reused after washing with water.
This product also excels in deodorization performance compared to the PuriCare 360° Alpha Objet Collection. According to tests conducted by the global certification body TUV Rheinland, the photocatalyst filter installed in this product removed about 55% more harmful gases accumulated in the filter, such as ammonia, acetaldehyde, and acetic acid?key components of pet urine odor?than existing products.
When used together with an AI sensor placed in areas requiring focused indoor air quality management, it detects polluted air about 5 minutes faster and purifies the space compared to using the air purifier alone. Up to three AI sensors can be connected, which are sold separately.
Moreover, this product features various convenience and hygiene functions, including the V True Total Care Filter with antiviral and antibacterial effects, and voice guidance that notifies users of operation mode changes and filter replacement timing. It is available in the latest Objet Collection color, Red Wood, which complements the entire home interior. The purification area is 114㎡, and the retail price is 1,990,000 KRW.
