On the 23rd, 118 people were infected with COVID-19, setting a new record for the highest number of daily confirmed cases. Following 97 cases on the 20th, 107 on the 21st, and 116 on the 22nd, this marks four consecutive days of record-breaking numbers. The total number of confirmed cases over these four days reaches 438.
According to Busan City, 5 cases were confirmed the previous afternoon and 113 cases on the day, totaling 118 positive COVID-19 cases within a day.
Among the total confirmed cases, 97 were contacts of existing confirmed patients, and 19 are 'unknown' cases currently under epidemiological investigation.
The remaining 2 cases were overseas arrivals. Among the 97 contacts, 27 were family transmission cases, and 9 were acquaintances. The number of contacts at multi-use facilities includes 35 at bathhouses, 11 at offices, 10 at schools, 4 at restaurants, and 1 at a PC bang.
Among the additional confirmed cases, 11 are related to a bathhouse in Dong-gu. The cumulative confirmed cases have increased to 15, including 13 visitors, 2 employees, and 1 contact.
At the bathhouse in Dongnae-gu, where a chain infection occurred, 24 more infections were confirmed. On this day, 23 visitors and 2 family contacts tested positive. So far, the total confirmed cases have risen to 42, including 38 users, 1 staff member, and 3 contacts.
Busan's quarantine authorities are investigating eight bathhouses related to the movements of confirmed patients, including the two bathhouses where cluster infections occurred.
At an indoor sports facility in Suyeong-gu, 7 family members and 7 secondary contacts were additionally confirmed. The cumulative confirmed cases are 18 users, 2 staff members, and 24 contacts.
At a high school in Saha-gu, 3 students and 6 contacts were confirmed positive, increasing the related confirmed cases to 16 students and 26 contacts (including 1 in Gyeongnam).
Cases related to entertainment facilities are also increasing. With 2 staff members and 6 contacts newly confirmed, the total has risen to 217, including 78 visitors, 40 staff members, and 99 contacts.

Four additional employees of a business in Sasang-gu, where 3 cases were confirmed the previous day, were also infected. The business is a small office, and it is presumed that the employees were infected through contact during work. Including the index patient, the cumulative confirmed cases total 8.
