Held under the theme "Memory, Drawing the Flow of Time," this exhibition captures the preciousness of human life and the flow of seasons that are left behind and remembered, as well as the dignity of love that is naturally given.
"Mokpo Yein" is a small art group composed of local artists including Kang Bong-o, Kim Yong-hyun, Noh Hyang-rang, Moon Young-hwa, Park Sun-mi, Seo Chae-young, Lim Bu-sik, Lim Jae-hong, Chae Ho-san, and Choi Hyung-cheol.
In particular, the Yein Exhibition is not only a place to showcase the artistic activities of Yein artists so far but is also highly valued for its significance as a voluntary exhibition aimed at overcoming the stagnation of local art caused by the inability to meet face-to-face due to COVID-19.
Among the participating works, "The Road to You" (by Seo Chae-young) depicts a small elephant returning to its hometown fields, appropriately expressing longing and idealistic conflict.
Especially in this exhibition, viewers can appreciate various color techniques as the artists portray their inner emotions through their painting styles over the flow of time.
The participating artists emphasized, "As Yein artists, we may not be able to save the world or bring peace, but we want to preserve the emotions in everyone's hearts," and added, "Please look forward to the beautiful activities of the Yein Avengers, who boast the strongest teamwork."
