Driver of delivery vehicle causing death of 3 pedestrians arrested
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] The driver of a delivery vehicle who caused the deaths of three pedestrians has been arrested.
On the 22nd, the Yeosu Police in Jeollanam-do arrested driver A (41) on charges of violating the Road Traffic Act and other offenses after he hit pedestrians while driving a delivery vehicle, resulting in three fatalities.
According to the police, A is accused of running over pedestrians crossing the crosswalk at Hanjae Intersection in Seogyo-dong, Yeosu City, around 8:56 a.m. on the 20th while driving a 5.3-ton delivery truck.
The accident resulted in the deaths of three people, including elderly individuals participating in public work programs, and left 16 others with serious to moderate injuries.
