The Financial Supervisory Service to Hold Untact Public Briefing on Business Reports on the 23rd
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jihwan] The Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) announced on the 22nd that it will hold an 'Untact (non-face-to-face)' public disclosure briefing session on the 23rd to provide guidance on the results of business report inspections and preparation methods.
The FSS has held offline public disclosure briefing sessions every year to communicate and explain the key inspection results of business reports and precautions during preparation to corporate disclosure officers. However, due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation this year as well, the briefing materials will be produced as videos, posted on the website, and related content will be distributed in booklet form in an untact manner.
The briefing session is divided into three parts: △ financial matters △ non-financial matters △ regulations and sanctions related to disclosure violations, providing a total of 90 minutes of video content with 30 minutes per topic.
Specifically, in the financial matters section, explanations will focus on the recently revised disclosure forms where multiple deficiencies were identified and the methods of preparing financial statements that can significantly influence stakeholders' decision-making.
In the non-financial matters section, the briefing will guide on pointed issues and best practices, focusing on disclosures by specially listed companies with many deficiencies found in inspections and matters related to dividends.
In the disclosure violation measures section, guidance will center on laws related to disclosure violations and recent enforcement cases. Additionally, efforts will be made to prevent delays in submission of regular reports by listed companies and false or omitted entries on important matters.
