NH Nonghyup Card Launches 'Biz-RCS' Text Service to Prevent Smishing
NongHyup Card Information and Official Logo Verification Available
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] NH Nonghyup Card announced on the 22nd that it will implement the 'Biz-RCS' messaging service to protect customers from smishing (text message payment fraud).
Biz-RCS is a next-generation messaging service based on data communication from mobile carriers (SKT, KT, LGU+). The company name, phone number, and official logo of the company sending the message are displayed in the message, allowing easy verification of the company information. Since only verified companies are displayed, it is expected to protect customers from financial fraud such as smishing that impersonates Nonghyup Card.
Additionally, customers' convenience is enhanced by allowing immediate access to the Nonghyup Card homepage with just a button touch.
This service is provided through the messaging inbox on Android phones and can be used without installing a separate application (app). The scope of Biz-RCS messaging service will be gradually expanded starting with billing notifications.
