On the morning of the 21st, Yoon Hojung, floor leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, and Kim Gi-hyun, floor leader of the People Power Party, reached this consensus after a meeting presided over by National Assembly Speaker Park Byeong-seok.
After the meeting, Floor Leader Yoon told reporters, “Regarding the supplementary budget, both parties agreed to review the results of the Budget and Accounts Committee discussions and strive to process it at the plenary session on the 23rd.”
Floor Leader Kim said, “The National Assembly Speaker expressed a hope to process the supplementary budget by the 23rd if possible. Our party’s position is to process it as soon as possible,” adding, “While there may be a need to review detailed matters, we are keeping the possibility open but intend to process it as quickly as possible.”
