US Companies Delay 'Normalization' Schedule Amid COVID-19 Resurgence Trends
[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] As COVID-19 resurges in the United States, the normalization plans of American companies are also facing setbacks. They are taking additional measures, such as delaying the timing of employees' return to the office.
According to Bloomberg News on the 19th (local time), Apple decided to postpone the employees' office return schedule, originally set for early September, by at least one month. Initially, Apple planned to implement a policy requiring employees to come to the office at least three times a week starting early September, but due to the spread of the COVID-19 Delta variant, the return schedule has been delayed until after October.
Costco also intended to end special operating hours for vulnerable groups such as the elderly starting on the 26th, but due to the resurgence, they have decided to extend these hours.
